It is perceived in the Philippines, which ranks fifth in the world for having the most franchise outlets, as a sure way of getting into and staying in business, according to Caloy Ang, founder and CEO of Suds Laundry and Dry Cleaning (SLDC).  Suds now has 45 stores in Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao, up from 23 stores concentrated mostly in Metro Manila at the end of 2014.
